“We all know about the dedication and hard work of Kamal sir. His daughter Shruthi Haasan resembles the Ulaga Nayagan a lot in these two qualities,” says Suriya, who is sharing the screen space with the actress-musician-singer in ’7aum Arivu’.
“She never treats herself as the daughter of one of the greatest actors in the country. She is like any other budding actress, who would give nothing but her best for her debut film. I am happy to work with Shruthi,” adds the actor.
Produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies and directed by AR Murugadoss, ’7aum Arivu’ is gearing up for an audio launch later this week. “Songs by Harris Jayaraj will be one of the highlights of the movie,” says Suriya, whose association with the music composer had resulted in wonders in the past.
The film is getting ready to race this Diwali. Adds Suriya,”7aum Arivu will be one of the most important movies in my career. Known for his perfection, Murugadoss has shaped up the film in such a way it would leave the audience awestruck. I am waiting for its release.”
Here we reveal the name of the Buddhisht monk character Suriya is doing in ’7aum Arivu’. The actor plays Dhamo. The song ‘Rise Of Dhamo…’ features Suriya as a Chinese monk. The song features a young child praising their saviour, Dhamo, that is to say the monk character played by Suriya. It is one of the USPs of the film.
“The first 15 minutes of the film will be a visual treat for the audience,” they say and add: “Nearly Rs 10 crore has been spent for the introduction scene of Suriya. Producer Udhayanidhi Stalin was liberal to get quality end-product.”
Directed by A R Murugadoss, ’7aum Arivu’ has Shruthi Haasan as heroine. “The Chinese song composed by Harris Jayaraj will be performed live at the audio launch of the film, which is scheduled in Chennai on September 22,” add sources.
Vijay and Murugadoss’s next film is all set to roll. Vijay had been busy with Velayudham and Nanban whereas Murugadoss has been wrapped up with Engeyum Epodhum (as a producer) and 7am Arivu with Suriya. Now that the duo is done with theie prior commitments, their film together will begin filming in the last week of September.
Neither of them are willing to say much about the project and the hunt is on for the heroine. But Santhosh Sivan and Harris Jayaraj are a part of this project and will be lending their expertise in cinematography and music respectively. Aascar Ravichandran and Chandrasekhar will be jointly producing the film and Fox Star Studios will give it a worldwide release.
AR Murugadoss’s blockbuster with Vijaykanth, Ramana has caught the eye of the Bollywood bigwigs. A lot of the top stars have seen the film and have asked the director to make a Hindi version. Given the prevailing mood in the country following Anna Hazare’s India Against Corruption (IAC) movement, the time is ripe for a film that has a leading man who fights corruption.
It is being said that the film will happen with Aamir Khan but there is no official word yet from the star himself. Murugadoss has said nothing about this and is currently busy with 7am Arivu with Suriya and his next film with Vijay.
Harris Jayaraj, who is already done with three songs in ‘Nanban’, has now completed the fourth one too. The music composer is happy with the output of the number, sung by Vijay Prakash and Sunidhi Chauhan.
‘Nanban’, directed by Shankar with Vijay, Jiiva and Srikanth playing the lead roles, is a remake of Hindi hit ’3 Idiots’. This is the second time for Harris to join hands with Shankar, with the first one being ‘Anniyan’.
“Just finished the fourth song for Nanban. It has come good,” says the music director, who is also upbeat about his other venture, the Suriya starrer ’7am Arivu’, directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies.
“The final mix of 7am Arivu is over. Audio will be launched on September 10,” he wrote on his microblogging page. Earlier, Harris tweeted that 7am Arivu has a Chinese song and he is satisfied with the outcome.
