Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh will have to wait for some more weeks. Though Srikanth Addala had planned to start with the making of Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’s first schedule on Dec. 15, it seems he and the entire unit have to wait till the second week of January for a particular reason:Samantha Ruth Prabhu has no dates for Tollywood’s first mega multi-starrer.
Consequently, the shooting has been put on hold for some days. Samantha, the most hard-working actress that Mahesh had ever worked with (in Prince’s own words), is currently shooting for Autonagar Surya (where she is paired with Naga Chaitanya).
Coming to Venky, he is awaiting the release of Bodyguard on Jan. 12. He has an untitled film to be directed by Meher Ramesh; he will juggled SVSC and this one from Jan. Mahesh, who toiled along with Puri to complete The Businessman on schedule, awaits the biggest theatrical release in the history of Tollywood on Jan. 11.
He is getting to act with Samantha so very early after Dookudu. Meanwhile, Amala Paul has been finalized to play Venky’s wife in the movie, which is produced by Dil Raju on a vast scale.
If there is a hot talk in tinsel town, it is the alleged relationship between director Vijay and 
. However, the filmmaker’s answer is a big ‘no’ to the much talked about affair.
“We are real good friends and I just mean that. There is nothing beyond professional relationship between me and Amala. Such rumours put not just us, but also our families in an uncomfortable situation,” he says.
On reports which claimed that he gifted a brand new house at an up market area in Chennai to Amala Paul and took her on a long drive on his newly bought BMW, Vijay says, “Yes, I recently bought a house and gifted it but to my parents and not to Amala Paul!”
“We never went on a drive together. She is my friend. That’s it. Besides Amala, everyone worked with me in Deiva Thirumagal, including Vikram, Anushka and G V Prakash Kumar, are my close friends,” he signs off.
After sweeping a number of National Awards and receiving much critical acclaim from Tamil film patrons worldwide, Vetrimaaran is busy with the pre-production work on his next, ‘Vada Chennai’.
Although it was widely rumoured that Simbu will play protagonist in this film, it is now buzzed that he along with tinsel town’s latest hottie, Amala Paul and Andrea Jeremiah will play the lead roles in this film. Telugu actor Rana Daggubati who seems to be carving a pan India image for himself is said to be playing a pivotal role in ‘Vada Chennai’.
It may be mentioned that Vetrimaaran took almost a year to complete the script of this film. We’ll get back to you shortly with more on this front…
Some time ago, Siddharth and Shruti Haasan paired up for ‘Anaganaga O Dheerudu’, which is a socio-fantasy flick. Again the combination is repeating for a love subject with the title ‘Oh My Friend’.
Over 50 per cent of the film shooting was complete by now. An interesting point to note that Navdeep and Hansika are playing cameos in the movie.
Dil Raju, who had produced ‘Bommarillu’ with Siddharth long ago, is teaming up with the hero after a long gap and Venu Sriram, who was associated with Siddharth and Dil Raju is making his debut as director through this movie being made on the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. Camera is being cranked by Vijay C. Chakravarthy.
As per the sources from the film unit, the film is most likely to hit the screens in November.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that Amala Paul was roped in as heroine opposite Siddhartha for his forthcoming film to be directed by Balaji and produced by Y Not Studios.
The film was touted to be a bilingual on the lines of ’180′ and would be simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil languages.
Amala Paul’s first film in Telugu, Ram Gopal Varma produced Bezawada with Naga Chaitanya in the lead is being filmed at a brisk pace. Shooting took place at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Now the team will be flying to Switzerland to shoot the song sequences. Amala Paul is enthused about this project and is keeping her fingers crossed as Bezawada has the potential to make her career in AP.
The film is being directed by Vivek Krishna. It will deal with the subject of rowdyism in the Vijayawada region. Prabhu will also be seen in this movie in a cricial role.
